              食べる(taberu) to eat ----→ 食べて(tabete)
              見る(miru) to look at   ----→ 見て(mite)
              起きる(okiru) to wake up --→ 起きて(okite)

             Polite request to another person ("Please do.... for me")

             食べて　ください(tabete kudasai)。    Please eat.
             見て　ください(mite kudasai)。          Please look.
             起きて　ください(okite kudasai)。      Please wake up.
